A plea hearing for the five suspects accused of the Nov. 4, 2011 murder of Tara Romero was rescheduled Thursday.

The three suspects who robbed a south Morgan Hill jewelry store wore ski masks, and two of the men brandished handguns during the late-morning raid, police said. 

Morgan Hill police used an automated device that can read thousands of license plates in an hour to catch one suspect who allegedly tried to avoid paying his vehicle registration.

Three Morgan Hill high school students who were ordered to remove their American flag clothing to avoid offending students celebrating their Mexican heritage on Cinco de Mayo (May 5) in 2010 filed an appeal with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit today, according to their attorney William J. Police are looking for a man who was in an auto accident with a Morgan Hill teen, then assaulted her and stole her purse when the two stopped to exchange information. 

Two people were arrested with a pound of marijuana in their car after police saw them smoking a joint outside a downtown restaurant, authorities said.
