SWIMMING: Mustangs account for nine league titles
As has been the case over the past two seasons, the Gilroy High swim team entered the Tri-County Athletic League finals at Everett Alvarez High School with just a handful of varsity swimmers. Low numbers, though, haven't hindered the Mustangs in regard to individual accomplishments. That trend remained true Friday in Salinas.
Annual Haru Matsuri festival Sunday
The Morgan Hill Buddhist Community Center will host the 52nd annual Haru Matsuri event along with the 16th Annual Northern California Taiko Expo from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 15. It will include cultural and historical displays, martial arts and Tai Chi demonstrations, Asian cuisine, and of course, lots of Taiko.Â
