Martha H. Busch

Martha H. Busch was born in 1918, in San Jose, CA. and grew up on her father's dairy farm. She was queen of the Swiss Society of San Jose where she met her future husband on the dance floor. She was married to San Jose dairyman John Busch in 1943 in Reno, NV. As population pressed dairies out of San Jose, Martha and John moved to Hollister to farm. She became active in the community serving as treasurer of the North Co. School District's P. T. A. from 1966 to 1974. She served as secretary of the concert association in the 1970's and 80's. Martha loved entering flowers in the county fair and raising her two children. When her husband died in 1995 she remained on the farm until six years ago when she moved to an assisted living facility in Davis, CA. Martha was loved by all, those who have passed and those who still remember her and her brilliant smile. She leaves behind a son and daughter, John Busch of Hollister, CA. and Bonnie Moore and husband Fritz, of Vacaville, CA as well as her niece/stepdaughter Trudy Johnson of Exeter, CA.
