A Gilroy pastor had the "honor of a lifetime" this morning when he led Congress in a prayer for the nation, for government leaders and for victims of yesterday's tornado in Oklahoma.Â
Marten (Marty) Parrish
Marty Parrish passed away at his home August 16, 2008 at the age of 60 . He is survived by his father George A. Parrish of Gilroy his brother Jeff and wife Maryann Parrish of Walnut Creek, brother Tony and wife Teri Parrish of Petaluma, sister Heidi Franklin and fiance Richard Araujo of Gilroy and brother Scott Parrish of Salinas. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife Donna and mother Mavis M. Parrish.

She is survived by her husband Alejandro Amado; children Teresa (Eldridge) Culpepper, James (Janet) Amaral, Richard Domain, Marilyn (James) Branham, and Humberto (Graciela) Amado; grandmother of Gladys, Johanna and Krystal Amado, Rosemarie Martinez, Lori and Daniel Anaya, James and Matthew Amaral, and Nicole Culpepper; as well as six great grandchildren.
