Vernon L. Leonard died Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at the age of 87. A native of Depew, OK, he came to Gilroy 65 years ago. He loved to farm and raise animals. Many generations of students that attended Rucker School will remember "that old farmer" who would have his horse and dogs do tricks while they were at recess.
Joe passed away at the age of 82 years in Hollister, CA surrounded by his loving family from a long battle against cancer. He was known by many as "Smokey Joe".
Was born into a loving home on Brace Avenue, Perth Amboy, NJ to Anton Glovin and Gladys Mortenson Glovin on July 28, 1933. Having just celebrated Christmas surrounded by her loving family, she passed into eternal life on Wednesday, December 30, 2009.
Gerald Francis Du Paul died at J.C. Fremont Hospital Wed., Jan. 20 after a lengthy illness. He was born to Francis and Altha Du Paul on Oct. 2, 1936 in Minot, North Dakota. In 1947 the family moved to a farm north of Carpio, ND. He attended high school at St. Leo's and Minot High School, graduating in 1955. He served for 3 years in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during the Korean War.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated today, Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Catherine Parish, 17400 Peak Avenue in Morgan Hill. Interment to follow at Mt. Hope Memorial Park, Morgan Hill.
Manuel A. Souza "GRAMPS" passed away peacefully on October 14, 2009, at the age of 81. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bertie, his sons Alfred with wife Betti and Manuel with wife Cindy, his daughters Mona with husband Dennis and Quincy with husband Jim, his 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Gramps will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Friends are invited to attend a Vigil Service Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. at LIMA-CAMPAGNA-ALAMEDA MISSION CHAPEL, 600 S.
