Domestic battery

Columbo Ursulo Leyba, 34, of the 300 block of Denio Avenue, 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the Gilroy Police Department, 7301 Hanna St., on a warrant.

Receiving stolen property

John Raymond Fregoso, 26, of the 7100 block of Hanna Street, 1:43 a.m. Thursday, near the intersection of Stutz Way and Chestnut Street for buying or receiving stolen property, possession of burglary tools, and resisting or delaying a peace officer.

Petty theft with priors

Freddie Lee Stites Jr., 52, transient, 8 p.m. Wednesday, near the intersection of First Street and Westwood Drive for petty theft with prior convictions, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of narcotics.

Petty theft

The rear license plate was stolen from a maroon 2003 Dodge Caravan parked on IOOF Avenue, between 7 p.m. Dec. 21 and 8:30 a.m. Dec. 22.

A female stole a cell phone valued at $150 from a man near the intersection of West Eighth and Eigleberry streets, 4:50 p.m. Dec. 22. The woman, who appeared distraught and said she had been in some sort of recent conflict, asked the man to give her a ride from Gilroy Health & Fitness, 8540 Church St.

A purse containing a wallet and $70 was stolen from a house on the 9300 block of Monterey Road, 9:45 p.m. Dec. 22. The victim allowed the female suspect into her home to use the phone, then noticed the purse was missing when the suspect left.

Two suspects entered a store on the 6700 block of Camino Arroyo and took overalls valued at $28 without paying for them, 1:25 p.m. Sunday.

Identity theft

A man’s credit card was used to make a $42 purchase online from a service called Internet Wealth. The incident was reported Dec. 22.

Auto burglary

A purse valued at $30, a wallet valued at $20, credit cards and a digital music player valued at $300 were stolen from a silver Nissan Sentra parked on Olea Court, prior to 3:23 a.m. Sunday. The suspect or suspects broke a window to get into the car.

A digital music player valued at $350 and a charger valued at $100 were stolen from a silver 2001 Toyota Tacoma parked on Nicole Court, between 11:30 p.m. Dec. 22 and 8 a.m. Sunday. The suspect or suspects broke a window to get into the car.

A purse valued at $30, credit cards, $500 in cash, a camera valued at $450, a digital music player valued at $450 and a personal digital assistant valued at $300 were stolen from a white 2005 Toyota Solara parked on Nicole Court, between 11:30 p.m. Dec. 22 and 9 a.m. Sunday. The suspect or suspects broke a window to get into the car.

A global positioning device valued at $700 and a cell phone valued at $150 were stolen from a gold 2005 Ford F150 parked on Twinberry Way, between 4:30 p.m. Dec. 22 and 11:30 a.m. Sunday. The suspect or suspects broke a window to get into the car.

Grand theft

A stereo valued at $250 and a digital music player valued at $250 were stolen from an unlocked green Toyota Corolla parked on Laurel Drive, between 8 p.m. Dec. 21 and 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

Stolen vehicle

Officers found an occupied stolen vehicle at Las Animas Veterans Park, 400 Mantelli Drive, about 1 a.m. Friday. The driver and passenger fled on foot away from the car, which was reported stolen out of San Jose on Thursday.

Parole violation

Jason Cruz, 36, of Santa Clara, 2:16 a.m. Dec. 26, near the intersection of Condit and East Dunne avenues in Morgan Hill for parole violation and possession of drug paraphernalia.

David Louie Gurich, 37, of the 14000 block of Foothill Avenue in San Martin, 3:20 Monday, at his residence for parole violation, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of prescription drugs without a prescription.

Efrain Neftali Fraga, 40, of the 2200 block of Cochrane Road in Morgan Hill, 8:30 p.m. Friday, near the intersection of Las Animas Road and Electa Court.

Possession of less than an ounce of marijuana

Shawn Curtis Pershing, 45, of the 12000 block of Llagas Avenue, 6:45 p.m. Dec. 20, near the intersection of First Street and Westwood Avenue.

Methamphetamine possession

Elisa Palomera, 37, of the 7000 block of Rogers Lane, 8:26 p.m. Dec. 23, near the intersection of Ferguson and Crews roads for possession of methamphetamine and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Bonnie Joyce Ganeff, 41, of the 12000 block of New Avenue in San Martin, 8:30 p.m. Friday, near the intersection of Las Animas Road and Electa Court.

Isaiah Jesse Rodriguez, of the 200 block of East Dunne Avenue in Morgan Hill, 2:34 a.m. Dec. 20, near the intersection of Monterey Road and U.S. 101.

Ralph Santiago Ramos, 38, of the 500 block of California Avenue in San Martin, 2:15 a.m. Dec. 19, near the intersection of California Avenue and Santa Teresa Boulevard in San Martin for possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Public intoxication

Modesto Figueroa Zafra, 29, of the 500 block of Peebles Avenue in Morgan Hill, 12:10 p.m. Tuesday, near his residence.

Kit Wigglesworth, 44, of the 200 block of Hindeyeh Lane in San Martin, 12:50 a.m. Friday, near her residence.

Liana Merlin Pena, 24, of San Jose, 3:08 p.m. Monday, on the 14000 block of Foothill Avenue in San Martin.

Constante Jesus Soria, 25, of Fremont, 11:40 p.m. Dec. 21, near the intersection of 10th Street and U.S. 101.

Raul Guillermo Perez, 32, of the 900 block of Welburn Avenue, 2:10 p.m. Dec. 25, near the intersection of Santa Teresa Boulevard and Highland Avenue in San Martin.

Ryan Robert Esguerra, 23, of San Jose, 2:50 a.m. Friday, near the intersection of U.S. 101 and Highway 680 in San Jose.

Marlys Jones, 65, of the 200 block of Burnett Avenue in Morgan Hill, 2:55 a.m. Dec. 27, near the intersection of Old Monterey Road and Sanchez Avenue in Morgan Hill.

Battery

A man punched his neighbor on the chin after challenging the neighbor to a fight outside their houses on the 100 block of Ogier Avenue in Morgan Hill, 3 p.m. Dec. 18.

A man punched another man behind his right ear after the second man hit the first man with his wheelchair, on the 10000 block of De Bruin Way about 4 p.m. Dec. 22.

Auto burglary

A laptop, portable video game system and other items, total value estimated at $3322, was stolen from a red Ford Celica parked on the 10000 block of Green Valley Drive, between 7 p.m. Dec. 21 and 9 a.m. Dec. 22.

Stolen vehicle

A white 2007 Ford F150 was stolen while parked on Monterey Highway near Burbank Avenue, between 10 p.m. Sunday and 1:15 a.m. Dec. 24.

Grand theft

A bowling bag containing bowling balls and bowling shoes and a fanny pack containing $120, credit cards and identification cards were stolen from an unlocked blue 1986 Dodge Caravan parked on the 300 block of Lena Avenue, between 7 p.m. Dec. 19 and 8:30 a.m. Dec. 20.

Residential burglary

A meter box, tools and other property, total value estimated at $1,740, was taken from the garage of a house near the intersection of Llagas and San Martin avenues in San Martin, between 10 a.m. Dec. 23 and 10:30 a.m. Dec. 25.

A check book and a folder containing files regarding a custody case were stolen from a house on the 14000 block of Columbet Avenue in San Martin, between 9:30 a.m. Dec. 22 and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Petty theft

The rear license plate was stolen off a red 1990 Acura Integra parked at a residence on the 13000 block of Uvas Road in Morgan Hill, between 12 a.m. Dec. 22 and 5 a.m. Dec. 26.

Recovered stolen vehicle

Deputies found a black 1988 Ford Mustang, reported stolen out of San Jose, unoccupied with its windows rolled down near the intersection of San Martin and Lincoln avenues in San Martin, 6:30 a.m. Monday.
