The Gilroy Police Department responded to a variety of crimes in the last week including loitering, battery and cruelty to a child with possible injuries. Arrests were recorded in the GPD blotter from Oct. 14 through Oct. 21.
Cruelty to a child
-Renee Carr, 53, on Oct. 20 at 10:40 p.m. at the 500 block of Hoover Court for cruelty to a child with possible injuries.
Battery
-Sami Mansi, 35, on Oct. 15 at 12:30 p.m. on the 7300 block of Hanna Street for battery.
-Rosalio Pineda, 22, on Oct. 19 at 11:36 a.m. on the 400 block of East Las Animas Street for battery and resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer.
Driving with a suspended license/suspended or revoked license
-Salvador Fragozolopez, 36, on Oct. 14 at 5:26 a.m. near the intersection of Welburn Avenue and Hanna Street for driving with a suspended license.
-Christina Mena, 25, on Oct. 16 at 4:32 p.m. on the 7200 block of Church Street for driving with privileges suspended or revoked.
-Mario Fausto, 56, on Oct. 20 at 10:52 a.m. at the intersection of Chestnut Street and Old Gilroy Street for a suspended license.
Driving under the influence
-Ricardo Cobain, 37, on Oct. 20 at 9:36 a.m. on the 7300 block of Hanna Street for driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 or higher, and driving under the influence.
Forging documents
-Albert Hernandez, 33, on Oct. 14 at 2:39 p.m. near the intersection of Marigold Lane and Mantelli Drive for the forging of checks/records/certificates and attempted robbery.
Hit and run
-Roxanne Leon, 26, on Oct. 15 at 1:30 p.m. on the 7300 block of Hanna Street for a hit and run.
Loitering
-Raul Silva, 50, on Oct. 18 at 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of Lewis Street and Railroad Street for disorderly conduct / loitering and refusing to leave.
Not having an animal license
-Kenia Solano, 26, on Oct. 14 at 11:57 a.m. near the intersection of Leavesley Road and Murray Avenue for driving with suspended privileges, and not having an animal license.
Parole Violation
-Scott Rupright, 55, on Oct. 20 at 6:07 p.m. on the 1000 block of First Street for parole violation.
Petty theft
-Justin Schumann, 24, on Oct. 21 at 1:30 p.m. at the 7300 block of Hanna Street for petty theft of personal property.

-William Reisert, 56, on Oct. 16 at 5:59 p.m. on the 100 block of Leavesley Road for driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a controlled substance.

-Jose Villalobos, 34, on Oct. 20 at 8:07 p.m. at the intersection of Church Street and First Street for being under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a controlled substance.
-Evan Pomin, 19, on Oct. 20 at 8:35 p.m. on the 8200 block of Arroyo Circle for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

-Jerry Sarmientoluna, 26, on Oct. 17 at 11:50 p.m. at the intersection of East Sixth Street and Railroad Street with unlawful possession of paraphernalia.

-Aurora Gilmour, 57, on Oct. 15 at 3:13 a.m. at the 7900 block of Church Street for possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence, use or being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana in the vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance.
-Roger Flores, 36, on Oct. 17 at 10:44 a.m. on the 100 block of Forest Street for petty theft, obstructing or resisting a police officer, and possession of a controlled substance.
-Homer Garza, 20, on Oct. 17 at 4:18 p.m. near the intersection of Santa Teresa Boulevard and First Street for shooting at an inhabited dwelling or vehicle, participation in a criminal street gang, and vandalism of $55,000 or more.
-Steven Shores, 47, on Oct. 18 at 2:34 a.m. at the 100 block of Hornlein Court for destroying or concealing evidence, resisting, delaying or obstructing a police officer, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance for sale.
-Sharon Cid, 43, on Oct. 18 at 10:42 p.m. at the intersection of Tenth Street and Chestnut Street for possession of a controlled substance, trespassing on railroad property and possession of a narcotic controlled substance.
-Arturo Navarro, 33, on Oct. 19 at 8:54 p.m. on West Tenth Street for battery against a spouse or cohabitant, grand theft, and driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or higher.
-Lindsay Heinzen, 25, on Oct. 20 at 2:38 a.m. on the 6100 block of Monterey Street for possession of a controlled substance for sale, and possession of marijuana/hash for sale.
-Andrae Martinez, 18, on Oct. 20 at 3:45 a.m. on the 8500 block of Wren Avenue for driving with suspended privileges, vandalism, and driving under the influence.
