The Gilroy Police Department recently made arrests for a variety of crimes, including sex crimes against a minor, burglary, possession of a controlled substance for sale and inflicting bodily injury on a child. All arrests were recorded in the GPD blotter between Oct. 29 and Nov. 6. All suspects remain innocent until proven guilty, and an appearance in the arrest log does not signify guilt for the listed crime/s.
Sex crimes
-Alexander Hill, 47, Oct. 29 at 6:05 p.m. at the GPD for four felony charges: sexual penetration with a foreign object with force, lewd and lascivious act on a dependent adult, oral copulation with a minor and lewd or lascivious act on a child. Bail is set at $300,000.
Possession of a controlled substance for sale
-Phyllis Candelaria, 50, Oct. 30 at 2:15 p.m. on the 9300 block of Monterey Street for one felony charge.
Crimes against a child
-Sunny Kavil, 49, Oct. 31 at 12:57 a.m. near the intersection of Hanna Street and Welburn Avenue for two felony charges: inflicting bodily injury on a child and willfully causing or permitting a child to suffer.
Burglary
-Daniel Caspary, 18, Nov. 1 at 2:51 p.m. near the intersection of Lewis Street and Rogers Lane for felony first-degree burglary.
-Emmanuel Zamora, 24, Nov. 2 at 11:05 a.m. on the 7100 block of Camino Arroyo for first-degree burglary.
-Marcos Soto, 26, Nov. 2 at 11:05 a.m. on the 7100 block of Camino Arroyo for first-degree burglary.
-Ricardo Gonzalez, 19, Nov. 3 at 1:26 p.m. on the 6700 block of Camino Arroyo for felony first-degree burglary.
-David Estrada, 19, Nov. 3 at 1:26 p.m. on the 6700 block of Camino Arroyo for felony first-degree burglary.
-Allen Silhanek, 21, Nov. 5 at 9 a.m. on the 7400 block of Hanna Street for felony first-degree burglary.
Driving under the influence
-Harald Donald, 54, Oct. 31 at 10:54 p.m. near the intersection of Monterey Road and Pierce Street.Â
-Dawn Breyer, 49, Oct. 31 at 11:33 p.m. near the intersection of Third and Rea streets for felony DUI with three separate offenses within 10 years. Bail is set at $100,000.
-Abel Jacquez, 42, Nov. 1 at 1:41 a.m. on the 8200 block of Arroyo Circle for DUI and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher.
-Trinidad Fernandez, 43, Nov. 2 at 12:19 a.m. near the intersection of Murray Avenue and Leavesley Road for DUI, driving with a BAC of .08 or higher and driving while unlicensed.

-Claudia Mendoza, 29, Oct. 29 at 2:15 p.m. near the intersection of Eighth and Church streets for fighting in public, possession of a controlled substance and use or being under the influence of a controlled substance.
-Maurice Stinson, 35, Oct. 29 at 6:30 p.m. on the 7100 block of Camino Arroyo for felony first-degree burglary, felony possession of a controlled substance, felony possession of a narcotic controlled substance, felony theft and giving a false name to police.
-Dexter Stinson, 42, Oct. 29 at 6:30 p.m. on the 7100 block of Camino Arroyo for felony first-degree burglary and felony possession of a narcotic controlled substance.
-Esperanza Navarette, 42, Oct. 31 at 9:15 p.m. at the GPD for second-degree burglary, driving with privileges suspended or revoked and use or being under the influence of a controlled substance.
-Eva Zuniga, 31, Nov. 1 at 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of Church Street and Mantelli Drive for felony infliction of bodily injury on a spouse or cohabitant, illegal lodging, trespassing, possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of paraphernalia.
-Steven Juarez, 38, Nov. 2 at 1:03 a.m. near the intersection of Forest Street and Swanston Lane for felony possession of a controlled substance and a narcotic controlled substance, felony possession of a dirk or dagger, resisting, delaying or obstructing police and re-arrest for probation violation.
-Lois Grubbs, 56, Nov. 6 at 9:40 a.m. on the 400 block of Lewis Street for possession of a controlled substance and petty theft of something with a value under $50.

-Melissa Miller, 35, Oct. 30 at 3:54 a.m. on the 8200 block of Murray Avenue for felony passing of a fake check.

-Omuri Ranson, 22, Nov. 4 at 1:19 a.m. near the intersection of Laurel Drive and Uvas Park Drive for possession of marijuana over 28.5 grams and giving or transporting marijuana over 28.5 grams.
-Stephen Simmons, 19, Nov. 5 at 8:05 p.m. on the 800 block of First Street for two outstanding warrants—possession of over 28.5 grams of marijuana and possession of narcotics paraphernalia—and possession of a controlled substance.
