Assault

Two domestic partners who share a room on Hudson Place got into a verbal argument after they both had been drinking, 1:33 a.m. Jan. 30. Rodolfo Torres was arrested after he broke a door to get to the victim. Torres swung a cell phone charger at the victim, causing the victim’s glasses to fall off. Torres struck the victim once with a closed fist on the left side of his face. An emergency protection order was granted and served.

An unidentified person punched another person in the face near Eighth and Eigleberry streets, 1:40 p.m. Jan. 28.

An unidentified person assaulted another person with a deadly weapon on Monterey Street, 3:03 p.m. Jan. 29.

An unidentified person pushed another person out of the way, and the second person slapped the first person in the face on Lone Deer Way, 8:24 p.m. Jan. 29.

A person punched another on Camino Arroyo, 5:30 p.m. Jan. 30.

Found bike

An unidentified person found a pink girl’s bike on Murray Avenue, 7:47 a.m. Jan. 29.

A 1997 Blue Toyota Corolla was towed from near Connell Court and Las Animas Road, 9:55 a.m. Jan. 29.

Stolen vehicle

A thief or thieves stole a black 2005 Toyota 4Runner from the Wal-Mart parking lot on Camino Arroyo, between 10:50 a.m. and 12 p.m. Jan. 29.

A thief or thieves stoles a blue 1998 Volkswagen Passat from Monterey Street, between 9 p.m. Jan. 30 and 11 a.m. Jan. 31.

A thief or thieves stole a white 1990 Honda Accord (license plate no. 2XOD133) from the Sobrato Apartments on Monterey Street, 1:25 a.m. Jan. 30.

A blue 1990 Honda Accord was recovered near First and Sargent streets, 4:38 a.m. Jan. 30.

A thief or thieves stole a red 1995 Honda Civic from Pierce Street, between 11:45 p.m. Jan. 29 and 11:45 a.m. Jan. 30.

Missing adult

Aaron Lefird Wilson, 32, was reported missing from near Blackwing and Eagle Hills ways, Jan. 5.

Michaela Martinez, 18, was reported missing from 10th Street, 7 a.m. Jan. 29. She was last seen in the area of New Avenue.

Identification theft

A thief used a Grant Court resident’s Social Security number to obtain employment in 2007.

Graffiti

A vandal or vandals etched “GLS” into the front of a business window on Monterey and Third streets, 5:30 p.m. Jan. 29.

Disturbance

A neighbor filed a citizen’s arrest against a woman on Tennyson Drive for playing music too loud and disturbing the peace, between 8 and 10:52 p.m. Jan. 29.

Injury accident

A 1984 orange Volkswagen collided into the driver’s door of a blue 2001 Jeep Cherokee on San Ysidro Avenue, causing injury to the leg of the driver, 10:06 a.m. Jan. 30.

A thief or thieves stole two tape deck adapters and an iPhone charger with a combined value of $55 from Chadwick Street, between 10 p.m. Jan. 28 ad 2:30 p.m. Jan. 29.

A juvenile was reported missing from Rosanna and Seventh streets, 11:48 p.m. Jan. 30.

Fraud

A thief or thieves fraudulently cashed a check at Wal-Mart, 7150 Camino Arroyo, 10:33 p.m. Dec. 3.

An unidentified person reported fraudulent activity to his credit card on Arroyo Circle, Jan. 14. Several charges were made at Gilroy Premium Outlets and other locations outside of Gilroy.

A thief or thieves fraudulently used a credit card at Wal-Mart, 7150 Camino Arroyo, 8:26 p.m. Jan. 31.

Animal

An unidentified person’s dog was attacked by a German shepherd while walking on the levee, 6:15 a.m. Feb. 1.

An unidentified person was bit by a dog at Wal-Mart, 7150 Camino Arroyo, 6:30 p.m. Feb. 1.

Lost property

An unidentified person lost property on IOOF Avenue, between Dec. 12 and 13.

Counterfeiting

An unidentified person attempted to pass a counterfeit $20 bill at Wal-Mart, 7150 Camino Arroyo, Jan. 22. The person was driving a silver 2003 Toyota Corolla.

Auto burglary

A burglar or burglars entered a locked white 2007 Chevrolet on Bearcat Court and took a Benelli 12-gauge camouflage-style shotgun valued at $1,650, a Bluebird socket set valued at $300, two cases of shotguns shells valued $400, three men’s hunting coats valued at $200, and $40 in miscellaneous currency and coins, between 3 p.m. Jan. 29 and 3 p.m. Feb. 1.

A burglar or burglars took an Alpine car CD player valued at $150, a Verizon phone charger valued at $40 and a car charger after cutting a hole in the roof of white 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible on Juniper Drive, 12:01 a.m. Jan. 30.

A burglar broke into a locked black 2004 Nissan Armada on Del Oro Way and took a Sony Digital camera valued at $500 and miscellaneous credit and identification cards, between 11 p.m. Jan. 29 and 11 a.m. Jan. 30. The credit cards were later used after the theft.

Stolen vehicle

A thief or thieves took a maroon 2000 Ford Mustang from Taft Court, between 11 p.m. Feb. 1 and 7:20 a.m. Feb. 2.

Vandalism

A vandal or vandals broke all the windows of a Ford Escape on Church Street, between 4 and 5 p.m. Feb. 2.

A vandal or vandals damaged a white 1974 Ford F10 on Rosanna Street, 3 a.m. Jan. 30.

Assault

Two people who had been dating for two years got into a verbal argument that became physical on Carmel Street, 5:49 p.m. Feb. 2. There were no injuries to either party.

Grand theft

A thief or thieves took a Cruiser bicycle valued at $500 from Westwood Drive, between 7 and 9 p.m. Jan. 28.

A thief or thieves took stainless steel under bars valued at $3,000, a 10-foot ladder valued at $350 and a floor sink valued at $150 from Chestnut Street, 4 a.m. Jan. 13.

A thief took a woman’s purse with $1,060 in cash and miscellaneous credit cards after she forgot it at a business on the 7800 block of Monterey Street, 7:47 p.m. Jan. 31.
