gunpoint Monday.
GILROY – Two suspects posing as customers robbed Gilroy’s Motel 6 at gunpoint Monday.

The two men entered the lobby of the hotel, located at 6110 Monterey Road, at 7:19 p.m. They acted like guests, speaking with the front desk clerk, before one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the clerk.

The clerk complied with the suspects’ demand, handing over an undisclosed amount of money. The two suspects fled the motel on foot.

The suspects are described as a white male and a Hispanic male, 20 to 30 years old. The white male was clean-shaven with blond, spiked hair and was wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans. The Hispanic male had a goatee and was wearing a black shirt, jeans and white Adidas tennis shoes.
