Police are searching for a man who walked up to two men in the 7300 block of Maple Street and opened fire with a handgun this afternoon in what police are calling a gang-related shooting.
The shooter fired several times about 12 p.m., with one bullet striking a nearby car. No bullets struck the 19 and 26-year-old victims, who fled the area, police said. The shooter also fled the area.
The two victims are not cooperating with police, Sgt. Jim Gillio wrote in a release, one going so far as to refuse an interview.
