Gilroy Mustangs

Andres Jimenez scored twice for the Gilroy boys soccer team, but it wasn’t enough to help the team to a league title.
The Mustangs lost 5-2 at Alisal Thursday, to finish second in the Monterey Bay Gabilan League. They end the regular season 13-4-3 overall, 7-3-2 in league.
Gilroy now awaits its seeding for the Central Coast Section playoffs which will be announced this weekend. Check back with the Dispatch for the seedings, dates and times of all local teams playoff games.
