Dear Editor,
What a wonderful article by Heather Bremner. Roger Corina has hit the nail right on the head – he is so very correct We, on the whole, have lost the ability to take responsibility, to communicate instead of act out, to be courteous and to pick up our messes and not toss our garbage around our community. The other day I saw a dirty (very DIRTY) diaper someone had stuffed into a bush in the parking lot. I would hate to ever be in their home. The only thing I disagree with is to expel any student – that is a vacation day. Better yet, the student should have to serve the community. Perhaps they could clean up some persons yard who is unable to or to help clean up the parks or a school or even clean a creek. They obviously do not have anything constructive to do. There must be some minor punishment (not expulsion) for these out of control youths. They need to get rid of their extra energy. Maybe even Saturday school for several weeks. Parents, you had better wake up!!
