Dear Editor,

Recently online Giant AOL ran a survey asking its millions upon millions of subscribers to vote for the most famous person in American history. After several rounds of voting, over several months, AOL subscribers declared Ronald Reagan as The Most Famous Person in American History.

Obviously many people forgot about most of American histories true heroes. It is sad and worrisome that people have forgotten the true nature of Ronald Reagan and his corrupt Republican administration.

Guess which is the most corrupt administration in U. S. history? Informed Americans, as opposed to those who get their news and political education from the “fair and balanced” sources like Fox News or the “republicanized” opinion section of the Gilroy Dispatch, all know that the contenders are all Republican administrations.

Conservative Republicans are such paragons of virtue and truth that they claim that Bill Clinton’s administration was “the most corrupt administration in American history” despite the fact that history contradicts everything about that statement. Despite the fact that Bill Clinton and Hilary Clinton, and many members of the Clinton administration were charged with crimes, their accusers fell flat on their faces when they had to prove their trumped up charges in court almost every time, because there was no credible evidence or witnesses to justify the charges brought by their Republican enemies and touted by their countless friends in the mainstream media. Contrast that to the great numbers of the Republican administration of Ronald Reagan who were not just charged, but were found guilty, but which most Americans don’t remember because the so-called “liberal media” rarely, if ever, make any mention of them.

“By the end of his term, 138 Reagan administration officials had been convicted, had been indicted, or had been the subject of official investigations for official misconduct and/or criminal violations. In terms of number of officials involved, the record of his administration was the worst ever.

The following are just some of the persons, groups, agencies and/or events related to the corrupt activities of the Reagan administration: Lyn Nofziger, Michael Deaver, E. Bob Wallach, James Watt, the Iran-Contra scandal, Oliver North, John Poindexter, Richard Secord, Casper Weinberger, Elliott Abrams, Robert C. McFarlane, Alan D. Fiers, Clair George, Duane R. (Dewey) Clarridge, Environmental Protection Agency’s (favoritism toward polluters), Anne Gorscuh Burford, Rita Lavelle, neglected nuclear safety (nuclear safety deteriorated as Reganites failed to make safe America’s neglected, aging and dangerous nuclear facilities), savings and loan bail-out, reckless airline deregulation, Richard Allen, Richard Beggs, Guy Flake, Louis Glutfrida, Edwin Gray, Max Hugel, Carlos Campbell, Raymond Donovan, John Fedders, Arthur Hayes, J. Lynn Helms, Marjory Mecklenburg …

Although Ronald Reagan was barely voted the most famous person in American history, his title should be corrected to, The Most Infamous Person in American History.
