Ramon Bassi hit four three-pointers on the way to 27 points as the Free Agents reached 4-1 in second-half play. The Stray Dawgs dipped to 3-2.
Edgar Velazquez provided 15 points and Simon Mohammad followed with 10 for the Free Agents. Donny Gooding carried the Stray Dawg offense with 21 points, including three 3-pointers. Steve Schillens tossed in 16 points, Derek Strong 13 and Rick Vasquez 12 for the Dawgs.
Silicon Valley Retirement Group joined the Free Agents at 4-1 with a 59-55 squeaker over Shoot It & Boot It.
Mark Taylan paced the Silicon Valley shooters with 21 points, including 15 in the first half when the Group posted a 29-26 advantage.
Hans Mendonca popped in 16 points and Darwin Collins and David Schindler netted 10 apiece for the winners. Jason Wolowitz turned five 3-pointers into 15 points for Shoot It. Lamont Chappell worked inside for 14 points and Nick Langone added 10 for the losers.
Mike Vanni struck for 18 points to help the Warriors past IKON Office Solutions. Vance Lee connected for 16 points and Adolfo Tellez added 15 for the Warriors. Jeff Aguirre led the IKON scorers with a 13-point production.
Hard Ninety clinched at least a tie for the second-half Men’s D League title with a 61-51 victory over the Sonics Monday at Solorsano Gymnasium.
Josh Bleem ignited the Hard Ninety (4-0) effort with 19 points. Brandon Greene hustled to 14 points, Frank Tomasetti 10 for the winners. Lorenzo Dobson led the Sonics offense with 21 points, including three 3-pointers. Jose Gallegos netted 16 points, Jordan Cania 10 for the Sonics.
Jiffy Lube rushed past Morgan Hill Garage Door 73-50 to leave both clubs at 2-2.
Nathan Sanders exploded for 26 points and Neil Garrett added 22 for Jiffy Lube. Alexis Rivas scored 15 points and both Rig Reynisson and Danny Rodriguez added 10 points for Morgan Hill Garage Door.
