– Gilroy police have released a surveillance photo of the
suspect in Wednesday’s robbery of Bank of the West on First and
Monterey streets.
GILROY – Gilroy police have released a surveillance photo of the suspect in Wednesday’s robbery of Bank of the West on First and Monterey streets.

The unidentified suspect is described as an Hispanic male with a medium complexion, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds. He is believed to be around 40 years old.

The assailant entered the bank around 4:45 p.m. and demanded money from a teller. He did not display a weapon. After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the bank running northbound. He may be associated with a dark-colored or black import car.

The photo shows the suspect wearing a dark blue and white plaid shirt, a baseball cap with an “LA” logo and dark sunglasses. He wore a dark T-shirt under the plaid shirt. The suspect has a mustache, collar-length hair and was described as stocky.
