Hanna Tabron scored 20 points, sister Olivia Tabron added 12 points, and Christopher’s girls basketball team cruised to a 51-37 victory over San Mateo in the consolation bracket semifinals of the Del Mar Tournament on Friday.
The Cougars (5-2) advanced to meet San Benito in the consolation title game at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
Alana Simon led the Bearcats with 18 points.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Damonte Ranch 61, Christopher 42 – Andrew Foster scored 19 points, but the Cougars (7-4) fell to the Mustangs in the Bulldog Chase Tournament at Sobrato.
Wyatt Rocheleau added eight points for Christopher, which plays Hillsdale in the third-place game at 6 p.m. Saturday.
