Ryder E. Rux

Ryder Edward Rux left our world on Nov 5th 2011, at just six years old.

His final days were spent surrounded by his family and close friends as they shared the love that he had brought to all their lives.

Ryder was born in Hollister on April 15th 2005. His life was spent full of joy, love, and happiness. His smile melted hearts and his incredible attention to detail and knowledge of facts kept all those wondering how a young boy could possibly know so much they did not.

As a toddler Ryder enjoyed playing with his cars and monster trucks. He would surprise everyone by pointing to random cars on the road and telling them both the make and model.

It was not long though before he found his true love of dinosaurs. Ryder would spend hours learning about and playing with dinosaurs. Not only did he know the species of a great number of dinosaurs, he would shock people by telling them which era it was from and what food that it ate.

Ryder loved the outdoors, especially his family camping trips in the beautiful Yosemite Valley. His favorite music was rock and roll and his favorite game was Angry Birds. He was a blue belt in Karate.

With Ryder’s passing we are reminded that his life is one to be celebrated, although we will miss him every day, he will always remain forever in our hearts. Through his teachings about life, we were able to create wonderful memories and remember to spend each day with love.

Ryder is survived by his loving parents, Thomas Rux and Tawny Dattilo; Auntie Courtney and Auntie Jessica; Uncle Jerrid; Grampa Ed, Grammy Tracey, Papa Tom, Vovo Michele, Papa Flip, and many others.

His life will be celebrated by his loved ones at a private service on Sunday.

His family asks that In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations may be made to the Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital where Ryder was treated with love and dignity in the last week of his life and where Ryder was able to share his organs to save up to 8 lives.

Donations can be made at www.supportlpch.org
