Adolfo Mireles carried the Sand Pit offense with 25 points, includinf four hoops from three-point range. Jose Mireles added 10 points for the winners. Gilroy Youn Plants countered with 15 points from Matt McIntyre, 12 from Bill Haughney and nine from Skyler Thornton.
Arnold Tellez dropped in 17 points as 1-1 Titans trimmed 1-1 Playaz 46-35.
David Rose and Vance Lee hit 3-pointers in the first half as the Titans took a 24-13 halftime lead. Lee finished with 12 points off four 3-pointers. Ed Gamboa and Chris McAllister each struck for 10 points for the Playaz.
Headstart scored 10 points in overtime to edge Beale Properties 53-50 in Men’s D League play Wednesday.
Don Hall hit two field goals and Bob Lemmon made three free throws in the three-minute extra session for 2-0 Headstart. Lemmon finished with 33 points, Hall 11. Armando Ocampo scored 20 points, Shawn Teacher 11 and Brit Bigelow eight for 1-1 Beale Properties.
