wedding anniversary on Feb. 2. Two daughters, two grandchildren and
25 years later, they were excited to renew their vows and celebrate
with family.

Pete Casas and Tina Z. Casas, of Gustine, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on Feb. 2. Two daughters, two grandchildren and 25 years later, they were excited to renew their vows and celebrate with family.
ENGAGEMENT
Sudduth/Pace
Jennifer Lynne Sudduth and David Martin Pace are engaged to be married April 30, 2011.
Jennifer, daughter of Jim and Peggy Sudduth of Las Vegas, formerly of Morgan Hill, received a bachelor’s degree from San Jose State University. She is a massage therapist and owner of Alchemy Therapeutic Massage in Willow Glen.
David, son of Glenn and Beverley Pace of Morgan Hill, received a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Riverside. He is the director of acquisitions and sales for Pembrook Development in Morgan Hill.
Jennifer and David were high school sweethearts in the mid ’80s, went different ways during college and lost sight of each other. David found Peggy Sudduth on Facebook, called her and got in touch with Jennifer. They arranged to meet in Austin, Texas, for Halloween and became engaged one year later.
The couple reside in San Jose and are planning a wedding in Las Vegas.

Doris Mar Vitervo Montealegre
Doris Mar Vitervo Montealegre was born Jan. 7, 2011 at Saint Louise Regional Hospital to Delfina Montealegre Cortez and Jorge Vitervo Chavez of Gilroy. She weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces.
HONOR
John Lawton-Haehl
Dr. John Lawton-Haehl has been named Gavilan College’s employee of the month.
Since joining Gavilan, John has brought the Gavilan Theatre Arts Program to new heights. He has been developing the theatre program by raising visibility in and building bridges with our surrounding communities. He is also dedicated to improving our college through participation in shared governance.
John works with the ABC outreach program (Arts Back in the Classroom) and brought more than 500 elementary school students from South Valley to the college campus. For “Peter and the Wolf”, more than 3,500 students came to Gavilan, 500 of whom participated in campus tours. He also works with Christopher High School’s Dr. Kate Booth in order to continue building bridges with Christopher High.
On campus, John is in his second year as VP of the Academic Senate. He joined the Learning Council to provide an important bridge between the senate and the council as we develop new strategies for helping our students succeed.
Nicole LoCicero
Nicole LoCicero was named to the Dean’s List at San Francisco State University College of Business for fall 2010.
Nicole, daughter of Brenda and Andrew LoCicero of San Martin, is a freshman majoring in business management.
