Kiley Foster
Kiley McIntosh Foster was named to the University of Oklahoma Norman campus honor roll for the fall 2012 semester.
In most colleges, students must earn a minimum 3.5 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale to be included on the honor roll. Students in the College of Architecture are recognized with a 3.3 or better, and students in the College of Engineering are recognized with a 3.0 or better.
Blanca Arteaga
Blanca Arteaga is Gavilan College’s Employee of the Month for December 2012. She is a counselor in the CalWORKS and EOPS departments and has been with Gavilan College since 2002, becoming a full-time faculty member in 2007.
Blanca has been the EOPS/CalWORKs counselor for the past five years. Blanca has distinguished herself in several ways. As a former EOPS student at Gavilan, she is a role model for many low-income, first generation Latino students with her kind but firm guidance. She has facilitated the graduation and transfer of hundreds of students and has taught guidance, business and non-credit classes. She actively participates on several important committees at the college such as Learning Counsel, Outreach and serves as the college liaison for foster youth to ensure that these students can access services. Blanca developed a website highlighting services and resources to benefit foster youth. She is currently working on her doctorate at San Francisco State focusing on minority retention and persistence rates.

Emma Northcott, of Morgan Hill, was named to Wake Forest University’s Fall 2012 Dean’s List.
Wake Forest University combines the best traditions of a small liberal arts college with the resources of a large research university. Founded in 1834, the school is located in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Cameron Pappa
Cameron Pappa, of Gilroy, has been named to the 2012 fall semester Dean’s List at Ohio Wesleyan University.
To qualify for Dean’s List recognition, Ohio Wesleyan students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale in all applicable classes.

Students on the Dean’s List have completed at least 12 credits and attained a 3.50 or higher grade point average. Ashley Mammen of Morgan Hill, a junior at Creighton University, was named to the fall Dean’s List for the 2012-2013 academic year. Full-time students who earn a 3.5 grade-point average or better on a 4.0 scale are eligible for the Dean’s Honor Roll.
Creighton University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution located in Omaha, Neb., enrolls more than 4,200 undergraduate and 3,500 professional school and graduate students.
Maggie Cropp
Maggie Cropp, of Morgan Hill, was named to the Dean’s List of Mercer University’s College of Liberal Arts for the fall 2012 semester. Inclusion on this list requires students to meet rigorous grade-point-average standards for the College of Liberal Arts.
