Lena Parker and John Blackburn were married Oct. 30, 2010 at Baby Beach, Lahaina, Maui.
Lena, daughter of Charlie and Fumiko Mallory of Sacramento, received a bachelor’s degree from Sacramento State and is currently an insurance adjudicator and administrator.
John, son of John and Elizabeth Blackburn, received a bachelor’s degree from Fresno State and is an almond and vineyard farmer, owner/partner of Pietra Santa Winery in Hollister.
Family and friends gathered on the beach for the wedding, and afterward, a celebration was held at the Lahaina Yacht Club. A reception the following day at Mama’s Fish House was hosted by the bride’s parents.
The couple resides in Hollister and Santa Cruz.

David Simpson
David Simpson, a graduate of Gilroy High School and a junior chemical physics major at The College of Wooster, received the Mahesh K. Garg Prize in physics at Wooster’s 41st annual Recognition Banquet. The Mahesh K. Garg Prize in Physics is awarded annually to an upper-class physics major who has displayed interest in and potential for applying physics beyond the classroom and is judged to have the traits for using science to serve society.
