in Morgan Hill was broken into, between 11 a.m. March 31 and 2 p.m.
April 13. A marble fireplace mantle and two marble statues were
stolen and most of the cabin’s windows were broken.

Driving under the influence

Paul Ernest Carlino, 37, of the 300 block of Fifth Street in San Juan Bautista, 9 p.m. Tuesday, near the intersection of San Martin and Murphy avenues in San Martin.

Under the influence of a controlled substance

Paul Joseph Lumbard, 41, of the 15800 block of Uvas Road in Morgan Hill, 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, near the intersection of East Middle Avenue and Monterey Road in Morgan Hill for being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a dangerous weapon.

Jesse Santos, 20, of the 5500 block of Monterey Road, 8:40 p.m. Saturday, near the intersection of Monterey Street and U.S. 101 for being under the influence of a controlled substance, probation violation and possession of methamphetamine.

Johnny Anthony Orozco, 39, of the 200 block of Walnut Lane, 11:14 a.m. April 15, at his residence.

Assault

Charity Hope John, 20, of the 2700 block of Ferguson Road, 7:23 p.m. Friday, near the intersection of Pacheco Pass Highway and Holsclaw Road for assault and on an unspecified warrant out of Merced County. John punched a man in the face and broke the sliding door of his vehicle.

Possession of methamphetamine

Araceli Sandoval, 18, of Salinas, 8:44 a.m. Friday, near the intersection of Sprig Lake in Mount Madonna County Park for driving without a license, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine and giving false information to a police officer. Sandoval had 1.4 grams of methamphetamine and a basepipe.

Convicted felon in possession of a firearm

Archie Cole, 41, of the 50 block of Oak Street in San Martin, 9:19 a.m. April 17, at his residence.

Possession of marijuana

Kristopher Albert Dean, 21, of the 1900 block of Jeanie Lane, 9 p.m. April 15, near the intersection of Guibal Avenue and Jeanie Lane.

Other Sheriff’s incidents

Felony vandalism

The windows of two travel trailers and a motor home were broken, causing several thousand dollars in damage, between 5 p.m. Sunday and 12 p.m. Monday, near the intersection of Ogier Avenue and Monterey Highway in Morgan Hill. One of the trailers had also been broken into but it is unknown if any items were stolen.

Vandalism

The walls of the boys bathroom at the South County Community School, near the intersection of North Street and Depot Street in San Martin, were tagged in pencil with gang insignia, between 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. April 17.

A 2007 black Ford Fusion parked at Gavilan College, 5055 Santa Teresa Boulevard, was keyed with gang insignia, between 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. April 16.

Assault

Suspect Nicholas Mueller, 23, of the 10800 block of De Bruin Way, punched a man who suffers from a mental disorder at Mueller’s residence, 8:20 p.m. Sunday. Deputies have not been able to locate Mueller and he remains at large.

Criminal threats

Suspect Clint Gordon Garcia, 50, of Campbell, threatened his brother’s life, 2:10 April 20, on the 2100 block of Windemere Court in Morgan Hill. Deputies have not been able to locate Garcia and he remains at large.

Recovered vehicle

A brown 1999 Buick LeSabre stolen out of Gilroy on April 16 was found, 1 p.m. Sunday, near the intersection of Church and New avenues.

A white trailer stolen out of San Jose was found, 8:10 a.m. Friday, on the 10700 block of Center Avenue.

A gold 2003 Lincoln Navigator stolen out of San Jose was found, 10:30 a.m. April 16, at Fortino Winery, 4525 Hecker Pass Highway.

Found license plate

A bumper with a California license plate attached was found, 11:20 a.m. Friday, near the intersection of Lena Avenue and No Name Uno.

Petty theft

A wallet containing a bank card was stolen from an unlocked grey 1998 Toyota Camry parked on the 6600 block of Holsclaw Road, between 6:30 p.m. April 14 and 8:30 a.m. April 15. The bank card was used at several stores. The victim closed her account and was not responsible for any of the charges.

Identity theft

A person called a Washington Mutual branch identifying himself as another person whose home, on the 11900 block of Calle Cielo Court, is in the process of being foreclosed, between 12 p.m. April 2 and 5 p.m. Friday. The caller provided the bank with the victim’s information and registered the house’s owner as the real estate agent instead. The victim did not give anyone permission to use their identity in order to change ownership of the house.

Weapons submitted for destruction

Santa Clara County Animal Care and Control near the intersection of Tennant Avenue and Butterfield Boulevard in Morgan Hill turned over two 22-caliber rifles for destruction to the Sheriff’s Office, 8:30 a.m. April 16.
