Roundup: Carrillo shines, but Soquel tops CHS softball

Angelica Carrillo pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts, scattering seven hits, but Christopher High’s softball team suffered a 5-0 home loss to Soquel on Monday.

TUESDAY ROUNDUP: CHS softball, baseball keep pace at top of league

Christopher High softball defeated Pajaro Valley 11-0 in five innings Tuesday in Gilroy. Angelica Carrillo and Kayla Medrano each had two hits and three RBIs, Olivia Barajas drove in two runs, Arianna Vasquez produced a pair of hits and five other Cougars had a hit in the win.

The Gilroy and Live Oak field hockey teams met for the second time this season, but the result was much the same. 

Roundup: Tomlinson, Mendoza lead GHS softball team by Monterey

Rachel Tomlinson had two doubles and Celeste Mendoza went 2-for-3 to lead Gilroy High’s softball team to a 7-3 home win over Monterey on Tuesday.
