Gilroy recorded its first league win, combining for 232 points Tuesday at Pajaro Valley Golf Club in Watsonville.

After being shutout 3-0 by San Benito on Thursday, Gilroy rebounded with a league win over Palma.

The Gavilan softball team snapped an 11-game losing streak and went 1-3 at the March Madness Tournament held Saturday and Sunday in Fremont.Â
JUCO Baseball: Rams use clutch hitting to beat Hartnell
GILROY—Gavilan used small ball and an eight-inning outing from Gabe Katich to roll past Hartnell 8-3 Thursday at home.
Gavilan Roundup: March 13
The Gavilan softball team took a one-run lead in the top of the second against Ohlone Thursday, but unfortunately for the Rams their lead would be short-lived.Â
Prep Softball: Martinelli’s 7th inning homer lifts Sobrato past Gilroy
GILROY—Gilroy’s Lauren Castro and Sobrato’s Morgan Martinelli have played together since they were 8 years old and know how dangerous each other can be. So when Martinelli stepped up to the plate in the top of the seventh inning—the game tied at 3-3—Castro knew that anything could happen.
