Prep Roundup: Oct. 9

It all came down to three points. The Christopher girls golf team upset Robert Louis Stevenson 287-290 at Spyglass Hill Golf Course in Pebble Beach Tuesday. The Cougars improve to a 7-1 record with the win. Nina Velez led Christopher, shooting a 51 and birding on Hole 3. Natalie Gutierrez and Alex Granados were close behind, both shooting a 54.  Christopher will take on the undefeated Santa Catalina at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at home.  Montoya-Valdez returns for the Mustangs After being sidelined with appendicitis in early September, Cierra Montoya-Valdez was final able to get back on the greens for Gilroy Tuesday against Salinas at Gavilan Golf Course.
