‘Flame of Hope’ passes through Gilroy, Morgan Hill
As Gilroy Police Department officers approached the intersection of Monterey Road and Masten Avenue Wednesday morning, they showed no signs of exhaustion. Instead they ran in unison with smiles plastered across their faces with one member carrying the American flag and another the Special Olympics torch: the Flame of Hope.

Gatorade Jr. Training Camp
Hundreds of South Valley youth got the chance to learn the game of football Saturday at the Morgan Hill Sports Complex during the San Francisco 49ers Gatorade Jr. Training Camp. Kids ages 7 to 14 were invited to come out and train like a 49er. The participants honed their football skills in areas such as passing, ball carrying and tackling, all while learning how to stay properly hydrated. They also got a chance to play some flag football.
