WRESTLING: Mustangs advance three to finals at state
Last week the number was 10, as in 10 straight section championships. On Saturday morning in Bakersfield, the magic number was 3. In a span of 20 minutes three Gilroy High semifinalists became a trio of finalists and are one win away from a CIF State Wrestling championship.

Gilroy High's Edward Malick, 14, and Meagan Collett, 15, swam Saturday in the Treasure Island Swim. They started out in the waters off of Treasure Island and swam along the Bay Bridge to pier 14 in the 1.5-mile race. There were 257 swimmers competing in the event.
