A plea hearing for two teens charged with attempted murder was delayed until later this month. They are accused of participating in an Oct. 17 knife fight in the parking lot of the am/pm gas station at 18605 Monterey Road in south Morgan Hill.

The fight left three people injured, one critically, with multiple stab wounds to the chest, according to police, who said his wounds were not life-threatening and he was conscious when he arrived at the hospital on the night of the incident.

Alejandro Hernandez, 19, and Humberto A. Gonzalez, 18, are scheduled to enter pleas at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 23 at the San Martin Courthouse. They are each charged with two counts of attempted murder, according to Santa Clara Count District Attorney’s spokeswoman Amy Cornell.

Gonzalez was arrested Oct. 18, and Hernandez was arrested when he surrendered to authorities Oct. 21.

They remain in custody in lieu of $400,000 bail.

Also arrested Oct. 18 for their involvement in the violence were two juveniles, a 15-year-old boy from Gilroy and a 17-year-old girl from Morgan Hill. They have not been booked as adults, and officials from the D.A.’s office declined to release any information on possible charges or upcoming court proceedings for the juveniles.
