Gilroy – The South Valley Symphony is pleased to sponsor an upcoming concert with the Mariachi Santa Cecilia ensemble in a program consisting of Mexican music to be held at St. Mary’s Church in Gilroy, Saturday evening, March 5, 2005, commencing at 8pm.

Comprised of 12 musicians, the group has previously appeared with the orchestra, but this time will be featured separately, performing traditional Mexican music. They are well known throughout the Central Coast area, performing regularly at the Berryessa Flea Market on weekends, as well as many other venues in the area.

Due to the requirements of two generous grants received, one from the Calpine Gilroy Energy Center, and the other from the Raymond Family Foundation, the South Valley Symphony is able to present this concert at a reduced price of $5 per ticket.

Tickets are available at:

• In Gilroy at Rosso’s Furniture, 6881 Monterey St.; Porcella’s Music, 7357 Monterey St.; Estate Furniture Gallery, 7565 Monterey St.; Carole’s Hallmark, 779 First St., and at the St. Mary’s Catholic Parish office, 11 First St.
