The day the world stops spinning;

The day that people stopped breathing;

Some people prayed for their lives.

Thousands of prayers weren’t answered that September day,

While people watching held their breath,

And others prayed for their loved ones;

Children longed for their parents to come home –

Hundreds of children wept for weeks –

The pain will never go away.

People will never forget the horrible day in September.

For months all you heard on the TV was about that September day.

Every time someone talks about

That September day,

Many people feel sorrow, and pain.

All you’ve got to say is

“That September Day,”

And the world knows exactly what you’re saying –

That one depressing, emotional day

In September.
