Laura Louise Thomas and Reese Jeffery Swanson became engaged June 21, 2003.
Laura is the daughter of John and Christina Thomas of Gilroy. She is a 2000 graduate of Gilroy High School and a senior at the University of California – Santa Barbara majoring in biological sciences.
Reese is the son of Bonnie Banta of Hollister and Jeff Swanson of Grand Rapids, Mich. he is a 1998 graduate of Gilroy high School who graduate from Western Michigan University in 2002 with a degree in aviation flight science. he is currently a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force and is in ilot training at Columbus Air Force Base in Columbus, Miss. The couple plans to marry July 3, 2004, in Gilroy.
