At 12:35 p.m., California Highway Patrol responded to a single-car crash that occurred on U.S. 101 just north of San Martin Avenue. The 30-year-old male driver of a 1999 black Mercedes veered off the highway and flipped it onto its roof, bringing traffic to a standstill.
The driver and two other passengers, a 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, suffered lacerations, CHP Office Jaime Rios said. The 20-year-old was taken to Saint Louise Regional Hospital in an ambulance to be treated for a bruise to his right cheek.
The driver had not been drinking, Rios said. It was unclear what caused the collision, he said.
