Victor Rodgers Coelho died peacefully at his Los Banos home Aug. 28, 2004. He was 89.
Born on March 7, 1915 in Berkeley, he was a devoted husband of 63 years, loving father and grandfather and trusted friend. He attended El Nido Elementary School and Chowchilla High School.
Mr. Coelho was a dairyman who owned Marvicern Home Dairy and Creamery. He led the way in using artificial insemination. He also worked with heavy equipment and ran Coelho Tractor Service in Gilroy. He moved to Los Banos at the age of 73 and bought a ranch and developed it into a permanent pasture business.
He will be missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his wife and soulmate, Mary Coelho of Los Banos; daughters, Patricia Coelho and son-in-law Dakers Fleming of Scotland, and Vicki Moss and her husband Mark of Sacramento; son, Robert Coelho and his wife Terri of Los Banos; and grandchildren, Matthew and Rhett Coelho of Los Banos.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Los Banos, under the direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapel.
