HAGEN TOURNEY: Alvarez defeats CHS in Round 2

Five different Cougars score.
Kaitlin Ramirez scored twice for the Christopher High co-ed varsity water polo team in a 17-6 loss to Monterey on Monday at Gavilan College.

“We lost to a very good Monterey team,” head coach Paul Wells said. “We only had one substitute and they had a couple platoons to throw out there.”

Brennan Wilson, Matt Higgenbotham, James Benson and Keaton Vogel also found the cage for the Cougars.

“We have five games under us now and I see improvement every quarter we play. We have come an enormously long way in four weeks. It is a nice group of kids. We will pop for one pretty soon.”

The Cougars face Stevenson on Thursday at Gavilan in a league match at 3:30 p.m.
