Youth Advocates to host vigil for Sarah Botill

Communities United in Prevention will host a candlelight vigil 5
p.m. Dec. 16 in honor of 15-year-old Sarah Botill, who died
Saturday of possible alcohol poisoning. The collaborative has
hosted an annual vigil in the past to remember those who have been
killed by drunk drivers and to remind the public not to drink and
drive during the holidays. On Monday, members of the Youth
Advocates program, which is participating inthe vigil, decided to
dedicate this year’s event to Botill’s memory. The vigil will take
place at the roundabout by the Gilroy Senior Center, 7371 Hanna
St.
