Dear Editor,
Saturday, Dec. 4 will provide a host of nostalgic Christmas experiences in downtown Gilroy. Toys of yesteryear will be featured at the Gilroy Museum, 195 Fifth St., from 10am to 2pm. Kids of all ages will enjoy seeing a scooter like grandpa used to ride, pull toys, a fat-tire bicycle and more. A real electric train will encircle the Christmas tree, courtesy of All Aboard Junction hobby shop.
Across the street at the Willey House a Victorian Christmas Tea will be served at 10am and 1pm. Guests will enjoy gourmet delicacies in the decorated parlors, with holiday entertainment in the background. Servers will be costumed members of the Gilroy Historical Society. The Piece by Piece Quilters are returning with their popular display of quilts for sale. Reservations should be made quickly with Community Services at 846-0460 as there are only a few seats left. Tickets $15. and will not be sold at the door.
