Dear Editor:

We are the land owners of South Coyote Valley property. The recent plan use of the Coyote Valley land is extremely unfair to us.

We used to grow mushrooms on our land.

But with the cheap foreign imports, we can no longer survive. With every pound of mushroom we sold, we lost at least two dollars.

We were forced to close down the business and let the land stand vacant.

We believe the proposed Coyote Valley Plan sacrifices the South Coyote Valley property owners to benefit the Northern owners, who are mostly large developers.

We want to take the Southwest Greenbelt property out of the Greenbelt and rezone to urban development. Half-acre housing lots will be ideal.

Thank you very much for your time to consider this issue. The small farmers in the South Coyote Valley depend on your support.
