Commercial burglary

An unidentified male and female cut open a five-foot hole in the back of the fenced storage area of Ace Hardware Store on First Street and stole an unknown number of items, between 4:15 p.m. July 24 and 10:30 a.m. July 25.
Found property
An unidentified person found a rolling duffel bag with women’s clothing in his backyard on Princevalle Street, 11:10 a.m. July 21.
An unidentified person found a wallet at the Gilroy Garlic Festival on Miller Avenue, containing $64 in currency and miscellaneous credit cards, 7:40 a.m. July 26.
Petty theft
A thief or thieves stole a purse with a license and credit cards from Camino Arroyo, 1 p.m. July 21.
A thief or thieves removed a wallet containing credit cards, a Utah driver’s license and $80 in cash from an unidentified person rear pants pocket on Miller Avenue, 1:30 p.m. July 24.
A thief or thieves took a wallet that was left unattended inside RiteAid on East 10th Street, 9:55 a.m. July 25. The wallet was later recovered in the pharmacy parking lot, but $120 was taken.
Threat
Two unidentified people got into an argument on First Street, 10:11 p.m. July 24. One man said he was going to shoot the other person. The case was sent to the district attorney.
Road laws
A gold 1996 Honda Civic was witnessed in a hit and run collision on Mantelli Drive and Santa Teresa Boulevard, 10:55 p.m. July 24. The hit vehicle was towed as a public safety hazard.
Missing juvenile
An unidentified juvenile was returned to her home on Rogers Lane at 11:50 p.m. June 20 by Santa Clara Sheriffs officers. About three hours later, she was found to have left again through a window.
An unidentified juvenile was reported missing from Adams Court, between 8 a.m. and 8:11 p.m. July 20.
Residential burglary
A burglar or burglars entered a home on Filice Drive and removed a television and computer while the residents were on vacation, 5:48 p.m. July 21.
A burglar or burglars broke the rear window to a residence on Carmel Street and stole a laptop, an iPod and various other electronic equipment, 6:23 p.m. July 21.
Grand theft
A thief or thieves stole about 1,500 feet of wire from Obata Court, between 7:30 a.m. July 22 and 8 a.m. July 24.
Animal violations
A barking dog citation was issued on Crest Hill Way, between 6 and 7:30 a.m. July 25.
A vicious dog was reported on Okeefe Court, 9:36 a.m. July 25.
A dog bite was reported on Cypress Court, 12:22 p.m. July 25.
Injury accident
A black 2009 Ford and a black 2008 Honda collided on West Eighth Street 1:46 p.m. July 25.
A blue 2004 Ford was backing out of a parking space on First Street and collided with a red 1995 Nissan that was parking, 2:45 p.m. July 25.
Vandalism
A vandal or vandals threw a glass bottle at the driver side door of a vehicle on Alexander and Sixth streets, causing $1,000 in damage, 9:57 p.m. July 25.
A vandal entered LaunderLand Cleaners on East 10th Street and bent the lids of two washing machines, causing $200 in damage, 1 p.m. July 26. The vandal fled east on Ninth Street in an old gray pickup.
Assault
An unidentified assailant assaulted an unidentified person in front of a residence on Barron Place and fled the scene, 3:15 a.m. July 26.
A wife was yelling at her husband, and her husband pushed her out of the way on Alder Street, 6:58 p.m. July 26. There were no injuries.
Counterfeiting
Two white female adults attempted to pass a counterfeit $100 bill at Barnes and Noble, 6825 Camino Arroyo, 9:59 p.m. July 25. The women were on surveillance video.
Stolen vehicle
A silver 1997 Honda Civic was taken from Filbro Drive, between 9:30 a.m. July 25 and 6:30 p.m. July 26.
