Two Chico murder suspects apprehended by a Gilroy-Morgan Hill SWAT team Saturday morning have been transported back to Butte County, where police said they were arraigned Thursday.

Antonio Linarez-Montes, 19, and Timothy Miles Nunez, 18, arrived Tuesday at the Butte County Jail in Oroville about 30 miles south of Chico, said Chico Police Department Sgt. Scott Franssen.

The suspects had been held in the Santa Clara County Main Jail since Saturday, when they we arrested at a condominium complex at the 7000 block of Monterey Road after a three-hour standoff with police.

Police say the two were wanted in connection with the murder of 21-year-old Chico resident Jose Barajas Sanchez, whose burned body was discovered by law enforcement officers last week under a bridge in Chico.
