No plans for downtown police beat

Two new police officers for the Gilroy Police Department, Adam Moon and Raul Razo, will be introduced at the Sept. 16 City Council meeting.
Moon, a Gilroy resident, worked for the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office prior to joining the GPD and had been placed at the campus of Stanford University with the Department of Public Safety. He will be making $8,045.86 per month; approximately $96,550.32 per year.
Razo, originally from Hollister, previously worked for the San Jose Police Department and will be making $7,869.21 per month; approximately $94,430.52.
“Gilroy is excited to have both of these experienced law enforcement professionals join our team,” said Human Resources Director LeeAnn Phillips for the City of Gilroy.
