â– Yes. All options should be considered. That said, I would have some big concerns with the implementation. The opportunity should be reviewed with a very critical eye.
â– Yes. Any creative solution to lowering out of control city police and fire services costs should be considered!
â– YES, evaluate, but this could be a real bucket of snakes.
â– Is this because there are not enough Gilroy City police to protect the citizens? If so, then yes. If not, then hire more city police to ensure citizen safety.
â– Yep. Couldn’t hurt. Might be a better deal. Might shake up the Police Officers Association.
â– Yes. Evaluating ways to increase services or cut costs should be the Council’s top priority, and there should be a protocol in place when it is done.
â– No. Gilroy’s Police Department is exceptional and has an excellent reputation throughout California’s law enforcement departments.
â– Yes. The city should be open to options that would save money in these economic times as long as it does not compromise citizens’ safety.
