It’s crime as usual in Gilroy this week. Police responded to a few reports of narcotics, weapons, threats and a bizarre incident regarding Gilroy Unified School District records. Here are a few events worth nothing:

Drugs and money

At 2:42 p.m. on Dec. 3, officers were in the area of Monterey and Sixth Streets investigating a fight when they found prescription drugs with a missing label on Jenai Aguirre, 20 of Gilroy. Once at the police station they found a counterfeit $100 bill. She was arrested for forgery and possession of controlled narcotics. She was then transported to Santa Clara County Jail.

Power lunch

Robert Barraza, 42, a door-to-door salesman, was arrested for threatening to kill his coworker while grabbing a bite to eat together at Black Bear Diner on Leavesley Road at 7:21 p.m. on Dec. 2. He was arrested for threats and taken to Santa Clara County Jail.

ID theft for GUSD records

At 12 a.m. on Nov. 7, it was reported that someone used a fake identification to obtain confidential information about an incident at Brownell Middle School. The investigation is developing and police would release few details.

Spat over stolen drugs

A man on the 7000 block of Hanna Street displayed a concealed handgun at another man at 11:44 p.m. on Dec. 5, who he claimed owed him money for stolen drugs. The victim claims he does not know the suspect but was “familiar” with the incident, according to Police Sgt. Pedro Espinoza.
