The alley behind a building in downtown Gilroy at 7452 and 7454 Monterey St. has been the target of mass garbage dumping.
“It comes and goes,” said Jenny Pariseau, an administrative assistant at Custom One Inc. on 22 Martin St. “It’s like a secret mystery community trash spot. I’ll go home one night, and everything will be clean, then I’ll come back the next day and it will be dirty again.”
Pariseau said it’s bad enough already, and it got worse last week. “It’s in the alley right behind us,” she said.
She thinks there may be brand new tenants in the building at 7452 and 7454 Monterey St.
“It’s not fair to the property owners, and on the other hand, it’s not fair to the city, either,” she said, pointing out the whole area is surrounded by dumpsters.
