Entered into rest in Salinas at the age of 67. Memorial services will be held on Monday, March 31, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Cienega Road, Hollister. Cremation to be followed by private family inurnment.

Frances Marie Leon

Passed away last Wednesday at Mabie Skilled Nursing Center Southside at the age of 90 years. Frances was born in Guadalajara, Mexico and was a former resident of Morgan Hill before moving to Hollister six years ago. " Frances was a excellent homemaker who loved to cook and made great tamales" said her family. She enjoyed working with ceramics and making Christmas ornaments, and loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Louis Leon of Hollister; daughters Cynthia Muscio (late Vernon) of Hollister; Diane Schneider (Herman) of Modesto, and son Ron Muscio (Barbara) of Brisbane. 9 Grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was the last of the six siblings in her family.

John M. Apgar, 75, died on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at The Woodlands Genesis Eldercare Network in Plainfield, New Jersey.

Manuel J. Escover

Manuel J. Escover passed away after a brief illness on January 16, 2008. Mr. Escover is the son of the late Manuel F. and Lenora Escover, and brother of the deceased Marie Buckner and Gloria Escover. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joyce Escover, and sons Matthew Escover and Steven Escover. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins in the Santa Clara Valley, San Benito County, and the Central Valley.

Jimmie Rogers McCoy

We celebrate the life of our beloved husband, father, papa, brother, son and friend, Jimmie "Jim" McCoy, a generous and warm spirit, who died after a courageous, year-long battle with lung cancer.  He was 63.  Jimmie was born in Virginia, and raised in Ohio.  He later moved to the San Pablo Bay Area after marrying wife, Barbara of 42 years, where they raised their two children Jeffrey, and Elizabeth. Jimmie was a lover of sports, and coached many Pony baseball teams.  He loved golf and served a year as president for the Pinole Men's Golf Assoc.  His greatest golf achievement was his cherished hole-in-one at Franklin Canyon GC.  He enjoyed watching the horses run at Golden Gate Fields and once hit the "Pick Six".  He loved to watch football and enjoyed traveling after retiring from Safeway Warehouse in Tracy, CA where he worked for 27 yrs as a mechanic.  Jimmie also was a member of the S.I.R.S. club in Vallejo, and the Richmond Moose Lodge.  He lived his last remaining 15 years in Oakley, CA.  He is proceeded in death by his father, Robert "Mack" McCoy and brother Roy McCoy.  He is survived by his wife, Barbara McCoy (Brookshire); son, Jeffrey McCoy; daughter Elizabeth Rivera; son-in-law, Robert Rivera; grand daughters, Isabella & Analisa Rivera; daughter-in-law, Maria McCoy; mother, Bertie Marie McCoy; brothers, Richard, Corbet, Teddy Sr, Jerry and Michael McCoy; sisters, Ethel, Betty, Lorine, Becky and Linda; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws and friends.

Ned Everett

Ned Everett, 96, of Hollister, passed away April 25, 2008. He is survived by his daughters, Sabra Everett, Hollister, and Louise Graham, Lexington, Kentucky as well as a granddaughter, Mary Louise (Nick) Pozaric and a great-grandson, Graham Everett Pozaric, all of Louisville, Kentucky. His wife, Mary Lou, preceded him in death in 2003. Mr. Everett was a retired banker whose hobbies were model trains and family history. The family thanks all who provided care for him in his last illness, particularly Dr. Marni J. Friedman and the staff of the Mabie Southside Skilled Nursing Center. Betty M. Cimarolli

Betty M. Cimarolli passed away suddenly from congestive heart failure at Hazel Hawkins Hospital on the evening of September 21, 2008 at the age of 58. Betty was an active participant with the Hillside Christian Fellowship Prison Ministry and made many scheduled visits to the San Benito County Jail to meet with the women there. Services were held at the Hillside Christian Fellowship Church on Saturday, Sept. 27th.

Glenda Williams, the daughter of the late Ernie and Ruth Roush, passed away quietly at home on December 5, 2011.
