Lorraine passed away peacefully at home with her loving daughters by her side. She leaves a legacy of family memories that will last forever. Lorraine was born in Woodland, CA. Her love of horses began at Mills College under the supervision of Cornelia Cress. She married John Harris, who was a Captain in the Marine Corps. They had two daughters. Her second husband, John Robert Lorimer, operated the Oakland Riding Academy, a public riding stable, for many years. They had two daughters. They divorced and she moved south to Morgan Hill where she managed a large horse operation. She then moved to Pleasanton, where she ran her own stable, Windmill Ranch, for ten years. She then moved back to Morgan Hill where she managed a private family ranch until her death. Lorraine is survived by her daughters; Linda Hough, Margaret Hopkins, Irene Randall and Celia Gamble, beloved grandchildren; Christina Benjamin, Lauren Hough, Heather Randall, Sean Randall, John Gamble and Tyler Gamble; beautiful great-grandchildren; Jack Benjamin and Allison Lorraine Benjamin.
Born July 6, 1935 and entered into rest March 16, 2009 in Oakdale CA. Mr. Martin lived in the Salinas/Castroville area most of his life before moving to Gilroy in 1997 and then Valley Springs in 2006. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Vlinda Martin, daughters Kimberly Casarez of Salinas, Tammy Martin of Yuba City and son Michael Martin of Cading, KY. Other survivors include seven grandsons, three granddaughters , two great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents Josephine and Ralph M. Martin and grandson Jason Amaya.
