Dr. Robert D. Quinn of Del Rey Oaks, CA and Sun City West, AZ passed away March 4, 2011 in Sun City West, AZ at age 84 due to heart failure. He was born and raised in Idaho.

Passed away in Hollister at the age of 69. Funeral arrangements are pending at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home.

Jerry F. Mascarenas passed away in Salinas at the age of 34. He is the son of Lucia Garcia of Hollister and survived by family and friends. Memorial services will be on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007 at 5:00 PM at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home.

Kenneth W. "Kenny" Bautista passed away at his residence Monday, Sept. 5th at the age of 62 years with his family by his side. Kenny was a native of Gilroy, CA; a graduate of Gilroy High school, Class 1967, a Vietnam Veteran serving with the US Army; a 25 year resident of San Benito County, a machine operator for Gilroy Foods for 30 years; a member of Teamsters Union Local 890 of Salinas, the Bolado Park Golf Club, and the Mission San Juan Bautista Parish. Kenny enjoyed traveling to the casinos with his family. "Kenny was a great husband, father, and grandfather. His pride and joy was being with his granddaughter Marissa", said his wife Emily. Emily and Kenny would have been married 37 years this Sept. 21st. Besides Emily and Marissa, Kenny is survived by his sons Anthony and Steven Bautista; his brothers Larry, Terry, and Rocky; sisters Michelle, Tessie, Patsy, and Beverly; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. His brother Ricky predeceased him. Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 11th at the Grunnagle Funeral Home chapel from 12:00 noon until 8:30 P.M. with the rosary offered at 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 A.M. at the mortuary chapel followed by interment at San Juan District Cemetery with honors provided by the Hollister Post 9242, V.F.W. Born on a farm in Canada; resident of Morgan Hill for 35 years entered into rest June 13, 2010. Ethel Sherrington is preceded by her husband Bert ('08) and her daughter Penny Rosa ('00). Ethel and Bert lived their lives to the fullest and were married 68 years. They loved to travel the world, play golf, and enjoy their usual "happy hour" with family and friends. Ethel is survived by her granddaughters Lisa Norquist (Rob), Tiffany Rizo (Anthony), Sherri Mia King (Mike), and five great-grandchildren Cody King, Emily and Ava Norquist, and Anthony and Johnny Rizo. Special thanks to her final caregiver Vicki Verdon for making her happy in her final days. Rest in peace Nana, we love you. Private services to be held.

Madelyn (Mike) O'Connell Bourdet passed away in Gilroy. Madelyn was the proud mother of son Shawn Bourdet (Necole Geslin) and son Wyatt Bourdet (wife Lacy Bourdet). She was preceded in death by her parents Fenton and Gladys (Pat) O'Connell. Madelyn attended St. Mary Grammer School, Gilroy High School, Gavilan College in Gilroy and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She was a member of Santa Clara County Cattleman's Assoc., San Benito County Cattleman's & Cattlewomen's Assoc., Women of the Outdoors and Kinship Center of San Benito County. Her greatest joy are her grandchildren Garrett and Tucker Bourdet and April Flook. She was eagerly anticipating the birth of her granddaughter Braydee Bourdet. She is also survived by her sister Kay Vernor and nieces Kim and Jill Vernor as well as many other cousins, nieces, nephews and three special "50 plus year friends", Vicki Coehlo Moss, MaryAnn Prendergast Wiley, Linda Sargenti Martin and many other special friends.
