Angie passed away at her home in Craig, CO after a short battle with cancer. She owned the Morgan Hill Floral Shop and worked at Wilson's Flower Shop before relocating to Craig. Angie is survived by sons Doug and Pete, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Beloved sister to Vince (Grace) DiManto of Morgan Hill, Al (Mary) DiManto and John (Jean) DiManto of San Jose. Loving sister-in-law to Ruby (Pete) Musachia and Harry Schneider of Morgan Hill, Robert Schneider of Auburn, and Noel Schneider of Modesto. Loving Auntie to many nieces and nephews. Andrew Munro, Jr. of Morgan Hill, CA (Formerly of Valley Stream, NY) passed away suddenly on 6/8/10 at the age of 62. Andy was the beloved son of Margaret and the late Andrew Munro, Sr. and the loving brother of Lynne Munro. Andy graduated from Hofstra University and Texas A & M and spent many years in the computer industry working for Exclaim Technologies, Inc., Sybase Inc., Intel Corp., and more than 25 years with IBM Corp. Gilroy Garlic Festival Volunteer for many years. Richard's passing was due to complications of Parkinson's Disease, which he had had for 17 years. His last few weeks were spent at the VA Hospital in the Palliative Care Unit in Menlo Park.
Bob Ware, 88, of Auburn, CA died May 29th, 2009. Bob was born July 9, 1920 in Hibbing, MN, the son of the late Ward and Marie Ware.He was one of three boys and husband to Lena Katherine Crowley for 63 years. He graduated from Santa Clara High School in June 1939 and worked as a welder in a shipyard during the beginning of World War II whereupon he subsequently served three-and-a-half years in the Army before being honorably discharged in the spring of 1946. His retail store "The Importer" in Santa Clara, CA thrived for 25 years. He was a born salesman throughout his career vending pumps, milking machines, dairy feed, pizza, chinchillas, and finally, imported goods. Associated with his international business activities, he journeyed to the Philippines, Africa, Japan, China, and Taiwan. Bob married Lena on March 17th, 1946 at St. Bernadine Catholic Church in San Bernardino.Together in their married, life they moved 21 times finally settling to raise their family in the Morgan Hill area. They retired to Portola, CA in 1989 and then moved to Auburn in 1997. In his retirement Bob enjoyed golfing, bowling, and card playing with his many friends and neighbors. He is survived by his wife, Lena, and their six children and spouses: Dennis and Mariann Ware; Paul and Priscila Ware; Mike Ware; Gordon and Cindy Ware; Kathy and Tim Sugishita; Kelly and Marc Hassell-Cramer, and their families, comprising 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Bud and Betty Ware of Napa; and,cousin, Jean Henry of Auburn. Services to be held on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Saint Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 11600 Atwood Road, Auburn, CA 95603 at 11:00 A.M. Reception immediately following in the parish hall. A military internment will be held on Monday June 8th, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetary, 32053 West McCabe Road., Santa Nella, CA 95322.
Walnut Creek resident, Marie Chaney, passed away on April 25, 2009. She was 88. Born Marie Elizabeth Oslund on December 10, 1920 in Latah County, ID, she grew up on a farm near Troy, ID. She graduated from Lewiston Normal School and then received a B.A. in English from the University of Idaho. She married Bill Chaney, her husband of more than 60 years, in 1942. He died in 2005.
Thomas Andrew Woodard, Jr. passed away on October 27, 2010,surrounded by the love of his family. Tom was born on August 27, 1954, in Vermont and spent most of his childhood there. In 2003 he moved to Morgan Hill, CA. In 2006, he graduated from DeAnza College magna cum laude with an Associate's degree.
Allen was born April 25, 1940, and passed away July 23, 2010. He is a Beloved husband to Lindy, "Pop" to Rachel, Joe, Zev, Sarah, and Jacob. He is a brother to Betty Bloom and Mayer "Sonny" Wisotsky as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Allen chose to be a teacher and worked in Los Angeles and Gilroy for 30 years. His compassion and ability to see students as individuals helped so many in need. His favorite activity was spending time with his family. He did this by going on camping trips, playing games, and telling stories. Allen loved all sports, but especially baseball. When he was unable to play, fantasy baseball became a new way to enjoy the sport. Allen belonged to Congregation Emeth where he admired Zev and Sarah become a Bar/Bat Mitzvah. His greatest joy was being a part of and planning his grandson Jacob's Bar Mitzvah. Allen was dearly loved and will be missed by his family and friends.
