He is a brother to Betty Bloom and Mayer "Sonny" Wisotsky as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Allen chose to be a teacher and worked in Los Angeles and Gilroy for 30 years. His compassion and ability to see students as individuals helped so many in need. His favorite activity was spending time with his family. He did this by going on camping trips, playing games, and telling stories. Allen loved all sports, but especially baseball. When he was unable to play, fantasy baseball became a new way to enjoy the sport. Allen belonged to Congregation Emeth where he admired Zev and Sarah become a Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
