Frank J. Lucchelli passed away Sunday afternoon at the age of 88 at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital. Born in Watsonville, he had lived in San Juan Bautista all his life. Frank was a former Chief of Police of San Juan Bautista for 30 years and then became Welfare fraud investigator for the San Benito County District Attorney's office . In the 1950s and 1960s Frank had been mayor of San Juan Bautista, Fire Chief and Scout master for the Boy Scouts.
Louis was born in San Francisco on December 31, 1919. He passed away January 11, 2010, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Frances (Celedon) Leon. He is survived by his children, Cynthia Muscio (late Vernon) of Hollister; Ron Leon (Barbara) of Brisbane; and Diane Schneider (Hermann) of Ceres. Louis has 9 grandchildren, including Heather Lust (Rick) of Hollister and Jennifer Jud (Eric) of San Martin. Louis had 17 great-grandchildren and has one surviving sister, Celia Rodriguez of Milpitas.
Mary was an elementary school teacher for many years in the San Jose area. She was preceeded in death by her husband Colin Watson and is survived by her daughter Cheryll Hill of King City and her son Dale Watson of Santa Clara. A memorial service will be held on July 10th at 11:00 A.M. at the Presbyterian Church of Hollister.
